Myanmar – Curatorial Visit & Art Scene Research

The research trip to Myanmar was conducted to serve the curatorial needs of Korea-ASEAN 25th anniversary exhibition, New Icon: Pop in Asia that was held in 2014, with an aim to explore the theme of pop culture throughout Asian countries contemporary arts.

The exhibition was the initial international exchange program to be held annually by Arcolabs, Center for Art and Community Management, Surya University. It was intended not only to promote Indonesian artists to the international communities but also to  introduce foreign artists to the local communities in reverse.
